In the ‘60s and ‘70s, a curious music scene developed in the dancehalls in Belgium. It was a mixture of obscure sixties soul, ska, calypso, chachacha, loungy instrumentals, … All driven by this slow or medium recognizable tempo, ideal for dancing a slow swing. The Belgian Popcorn was born.
