As promised there will be an annual Re-Post Extraordinaire to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Chez Monsieur Maurice 2.0 

 

Because of the labour intense way of re-posting I've used in the past, I've conjured up a different plan. From now on it will be possible to access, periodically and temporally, the "Chez Monsieur Maurice Archives". I’ve removed the previous re-posts from the Blog to avoid confusion.

The Chez Monsieur Maurice Archive is hosted on a different site, so you'll be transferred there when you want to get access. 

The Archive is basically a navigatable document where you can find all of the previous posted compilations with their download link. This Archive will be open during some periods of time, and closed during others. 

Hopefully this will make your (and my!) life a bit easier.

Announcement :

As you all know I've always used Zippyshare as my 'Go To' file-host. Now they announced they are pulling the plug. I've used many file host sites in the past (when Chez Monsieur Maurice still presented ripped original albums), but was constantly haunted down by the Internet Police and my accounts kept on being banned. This was never a problem with Zippyshare.

So now I'm going to try again. Maybe they won't zoom in on home-made compilations...

This also will mean that the links won't expire any more... That's a plus !

If there are issues with the new file-host, please leave a notice in the comments so I can handle it.

Finishing unfinshed business & an important announcement for the future !

Sometimes you get the feeling that a story isn't finished...
When I got the idea for the Signature Series, I always thought of them as double CD's. Putting together the first one, The Paul Simon Signature, I didn't have enough material to fill 2 disks. In the meantime I kept collecting and searching... et voila, a second disk got filled.

For the near future I want to concentrate a while on making compilations out of my actual vinyl collection. Because this takes some more effort and time (selecting, ripping, cleaning etç etç...) there won't be new post every 2 weeks. But I try to manage a new post every month. See you in November!

Today is the new start of Chez Monsieur Maurice 2.0
As you can read in the header, I'm not going to post any full albums anymore. I just want to share my home baked compilations. I know that's not for everybody's taste... but that's how it's gonna be.
Take it or leave it.
I make these compilations mainly for the enjoyment of myself and especially my sister. She asked me a few weeks ago if she was my only fan ? That got me thinking and the idea of starting up the old blog started to brew.
So here it goes.
I will be posting every two weeks or so. The files will be available for 1 month. After that it's Sayonara. No reposts.
As much as I enjoy putting together these compilations, I also enjoy designing the artwork. I'm adding the covers of my own design inside the file. They are made to fit the slim, wraparound, made in China cd boxes that I use.  So cut and crop to make them fit the ones you use if necessary.
I would love some feedback of course. But I especially hope that you all will become my new fans and enjoy this music as much as I do.
