Eurocharts !

 MM loves the music of the 70's... It's the soundtrack of the time he was a teeny tiny kitten. But when you look at all those 70's compilations out there, their focus lies mainly on the American charts and music of that time. Growing up in Europe, there was lots of other music around. The hit-charts looked very differently. So MM went exploring in those charts, and out came 'The Eurocharts Series'! I took the 10 highest ranking singles in the charts of of every year of the 70's decade in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Belgium. Looked for Monsieur Maurice styled instrumentals of those tracks. Mixed them all up...

This compilation is heavy on the use of electronic music, from the Moog-pioneers Comstock, Perrey & Kingsley to the synthesizers of Tomita and Yutaka Mogi. 

Also for the first time in Monsieur Maurice's history, I mixed the tracks together to form one continuous piece of music. A piece long enough to accompany you on your space travels and back to earth !

The main file will contain the mixed soundtrack, cut into individual tracks. I will also make the mix in one big file available for download, and a file with the unmixed tracks, for the purists among you.

Growing older I've become more and more fond of the French Chanson. Perhaps it's growing out of the childhood trauma of having to learn 'la grammaire française' that nurtured my appreciation...
