The compilations that I post here were originally made for my own enjoyment and that of my family, but out of the generosity of my heart I want to share them with the world ! They are made with tracks from my own vinyl collection but also from tracks that I've collected trough the years from all over the internet. It's impossible to credit the original poster, but consider yourself utterly thanked.

... pour la Belgique ... Douze Points !

A strange kind of madness is settling over Europe... The month of May means the annual Eurovision Song Contest. Every self respecting European country has selected it's prime artist, who will be performing a brand new original song during a Live show in front of millions of TV viewers.
The Eurovision Song Contest has grown exponentially during the years. It's a 'monster' now, with 2 semi finals and the final show on may 12th.
This month will be 'Eurovision month' at Chez Monsieur Maurice. He has selected the finest of the Eurovision songs from days past. Some well known, some hidden gems...
Enjoy !

  1. Merci, Maurice. I am one who began following Eurovision late in life, but I love viewing and listening now every year. Thanks!

  2. I remember sitting in front of the TV with my mum. Waiting for the begin tune (te deum) and commenting on the dresses of the singers and the songs we liked or disliked. Later on in life it became 'not done' to watch Eurovision. Eurovision was considered 'not cool' at all. Now it's again a guilty pleasure at casa Chez Monsieur Maurice. I'm glad you enjoy it.
